Dr. Moya is a board certified interventional radiologist who welcomes patients at Radiology Affiliates Imaging in Texas. He sees patients at their Houston and Trevose locations. He specializes in all facets of interventional radiology placing a special emphasis on angiography. Angiography or arteriography is a medical imaging technique used to visualize the inside, or lumen, of blood vessels and organs of the body, with particular interest in the arteries, veins, and the heart chambers.

RAI provides radiology services for 3 outpatient imaging centers, eleven regional hospitals (5 health systems) and ten hospital outpatient centers performing over 900,000 procedures each year”, states the official website of RAI.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Moya went on to complete his medical degree at UANL – Escuela de Medicina (Facultad de Medicina de la UANL) in Monterrey, Mexico, and graduated in 1988. Upon returning to the United States, he completed a transitional year with Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital (1989) as well as a one-year residency in internal medicine with Mercy Hospital of Philadelphia (1990).
Upon discovering his passion for radiology, Dr. Moya proceeded to perform a residency in radiology at Mercy Catholic Medical Center (1994). To further advance his training, he conducted a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology and angiography at the University of Texas – MD Anderson Cancer Center. In 2017, Dr. Moya received an Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership degree from Brown University School of Professional Studies.
The doctor is board-certified diagnostic radiology and vascular and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Established in 1934, the American Board of Radiology is a not-for-profit physician-led organization with headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. It oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology and medical physics.
Radiology is the medical discipline that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the body. Interventional radiology is concerned with various minimally-invasive procedures using medical imaging guidance, such as x-ray fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, or ultrasound.
