Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Sarah Perrine, who serves patients in Barberton, Ohio.

Dr. Perrine is a pediatrician who is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization and one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

She is currently on staff at Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics in Barberton, Ohio. Akron Children’s Hospital offers a variety of services to its 25-county region, ranging from well visits and trauma  to the treatment of rare and serious childhood disorders. The hospital has approximately 4,600 employees and cares for more than half a million children and adults each year. It is ranked among the best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.

In regards to her educational background, Dr. Perrine earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2013. Upon graduation, she completed her residency in pediatrics at Akron Children’s Hospital in 2016. 

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a pediatrician, Dr. Perrine examines, diagnoses, and treats children of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. She understands that children change rapidly and that they must be approached with an appreciation for their stage of physical and mental development.
