Known nationwide as a leading authority in the field of dermatology, Dr. Fox expertise in skin cancer, cosmetic surgery, and laser procedures. He is the Founder and Director of the Advanced Dermatology, PC Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery.
As such, he and his associates have expanded Advanced Dermatology, PC Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery into one of the largest in the region for dermatology, laser & cosmetic surgery. The practice owns more lasers than any other hospital or dermatology practice on the East Coast and has been a resource center for educating dermatologists, laser surgeons, cosmetic surgeons, and others about laser procedures, skin cancer, and cosmetic surgery techniques.
Since 1986, Advanced Dermatology, P.C. and the Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery has been offering a wide array of medical, cosmetic, laser and plastic surgery services. In addition to specializing in all areas of adult and pediatric dermatology, many of the dermatologists have subspecialty training in their area of expertise. With their special expertise and the unusually broad range of services provided at their state-of-the-art offices, they have been featured in many local and national newspapers and magazines as well as on radio and television news programs. They continue to improve their procedures and services with the most up-to-date advanced instruments and techniques that the dermatological field offers.
Regarding his educational background, Dr. Fox obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern University. He started his career in medicine by earning his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He then went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, and his residency in dermatology at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine.
Licensed to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
In his professional experience, Dr. Fox is the Founder and President of the New Age Skin Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to research and education. Furthermore, he is affiliated with many different medical venues, including Glen Cove Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, New York-Presbyterian/Queens, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and Valley Hospital.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatologists (FAAD), he is a member of many medical organizations, including the Medical Society of the State of New York, the American College of Phlebotomy, the Nassau County Medical Society, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the National Psoriasis Foundation, the American Medical Association, the New York County Medical Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the New York State Society for Dermatology/Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine/Surgery, the Queens County Medical Society, the Council for Nail Disorders, the Society of Investigative Dermatology, the Dermatology Foundation, the Society of International Dermatology, the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology, the Skin Cancer Foundation, the Long Island Dermatological Society, the Suffolk County Medical Society, and the National Rosacea Foundation.
