Dr. Basseri is a general surgeon and hyperhidrosis expert who specializes in surgery for hyperhidrosis. He is the co-founder of K & B Surgical Center and The Center for Hyperhidrosis in Beverly Hills, California. He was intimately involved in developing both centers and working with his colleagues to bring to life a unique, comprehensive and holistic approach to general and hyperhidrosis surgery.

Dr. Basseri earned his Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, San Diego. He also completed a coveted fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Weight Loss Surgery Department at Cedars Sinai. 

Dr. Basseri’s innate surgical skills were continually singled out during his tenure at Cedars Sinai, which is why he received the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award, as well as the title of Administrative Chief Resident. 

Dr. Basseri is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He has published numerous research papers and presented on a number of topics both nationally and internationally.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon, like Dr. Basseri, performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease. As a hyperhidrosis expert, Dr. Basseri is knowledgeable of the latest and most innovative surgical techniques and equipment available. He routinely performs Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy for excessive hand sweating, which has a 98% success rate. He has also perfected the Endoscopic Lumbar Sympathectomy procedure for excessive foot sweating, which has a 98% success rate. A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Basseri enjoys playing basketball, weightlifting, and spending time with his family and friends.
