Get to know Internist Dr. Vipindas Chengat, who serves patients in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A recognized clinician and technology enthusiast, Dr. Chengat serves as Core Faculty at MountainView Hospital, and is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of MayaMD.AI.

A native of India, Dr. Chengat graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Calicut, and completed his postgraduate training at Madurai Medical College. After relocating to the United States, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is an active member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and the Canadian Society of Hospital Medicine.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Chengat serves as a Board Member of Physician Cognition, and faculty member at SSM Health and IPC The Hospitalist Company. His current research is focused on improvement of critical thinking for medical students.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

On a more personal note, Dr. Chengat is an avid musician and singer. Speaking multiple languages, he is fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.
