Get to know General & Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Grant Steadman, who serves patients in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Steadman is a general & cosmetic dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Steadman Family Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. “As a family dental practice, our dentist and team cater to the entire family and offer a comprehensive range of adult and children’s dentistry procedures to serve patients of all ages – from young children and toddlers to the senior citizen/mature adult” as stated on the dental practice’s website. 

Dr. Steadman was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia where he attended the Collegiate School. After graduating from Collegiate, he attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and was named All-Patriot League in swimming all four years. After college, Dr. Steadman received a post-baccalaureate in premedical graduate health sciences with a focus on physiology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. 

Dr. Steadman has traveled across the state of Virginia and to the country of Jamaica, volunteering his dental services in underserved areas. Dr. Steadman is a member of the COFS Implant Study Club, the Richmond ITI Study Club, the Richmond Dental Study Club, the Virginia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Additionally, Dr. Steadman is a certified Invisalign provider. Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general & cosmetic dentist, Dr. Steadman has the skills needed to complete an array of commonly performed dental procedures that are simple or complex in nature. 

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Steadman enjoys biking the great trails surrounding the James River or tubing, kayaking, and paddleboarding through it. In addition, he is very passionate about traveling the world in search of surf, snow, food, and culture.
