After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Illinois, Dr. Tata earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois, in 1998. Furthermore, he served his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Northwestern University Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (2002). He advanced his training with a fellowship in interventional pain management at Georgia Pain Physicians/Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia (2003). He continues to attend specialized training courses in the latest techniques in pain management and participates in continuing medical education.

Dr. Tata attained board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The ABPMR was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Tata is a member of the American Society for Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Spine Intervention Society, and the American Medical Association.
