Get to know Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist Dr. Jaroslav Tymouch, who serves patients in Chicago, Illinois.

A skilled anesthesiologist and pain management specialist, Dr. Tymouch has years of experience in helping people overcome chronic and acute pain through invasive procedures, medication, physical therapy, alternative medicine and laser therapy. He runs his private business under the name “Painless Medical Practice” in Chicago, Illinois.

There, he focuses on creating a unique treatment plan for each patient to relieve their pain, increase physical abilities, and improve quality of life. He treats conditions such as arthritis, back and neck pain, knee, hip and other joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, shingles, post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain, sciatica, and complex regional pain syndrome.

In addition to seeing patients at his private practice, Dr. Tymouch serves as an anesthesiologist within the Pain Management Center at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. His areas of clinical expertise include pain management and regional anesthesia, trauma anesthesia, cardiothoracic anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, and vascular anesthesia.

To boot, he holds the position of Assistant Professor within the Department of Anesthesia at Rush University Medical Center, and has medical privileges at Norwegian American Hospital, Thorek Memorial Hospital, Lakeshore One Day Surgery Center, and Rogers Park One Day Surgery Center. He also runs a private Pain Management Clinic in Ukrainian Village, Chicago, where he helps patients with chronic and acute pain.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Tymouch earned his medical degree at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Ukraine. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in anesthesiology and his fellowship in pain management at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. 

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery.
