    In a very short answer.yes.but it all depends on several factors. There are many types of dental lasers and they all operate at different frequencies or energy levels. So one has to have the right type of laser.and typically the two that can help are either erbium:yag or Nd:yag laser; diode lasers will not work. And although they can be used to treat gum disease they are simply a tool that can help with healing and improving the bacterial environment around teeth/gums/implants.but they are not a cure per se and often other treatments are necessary especially in severe cases.
