Get to know Hospitalist and Internist Dr. Srijana Ranjit, who serves patients in Griffin, Georgia.

Dr. Ranjit is a practicing hospitalist and internist in Griffin, Georgia. She has been with Wellstar since 2017, seeing patients at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.

Starting off her academic career in Nepal, Dr. Ranjit graduated with her medical degree from Kathmandu Medical College. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency at Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of internal or family medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Physicians whose primary professional focus is caring for hospitalized patients only while they are in the hospital are called hospitalists.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

On a more personal note, Dr. Ranjit speaks multiple languages, including English, Hindi, and Nepali.
