He also held numerous leadership positions in addition to staff physician at the Cancer Institute of New Mexico in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado; and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Back in 1980, Dr. Judson obtained his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He then went on to perform his internship and residency in internal medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
With over four decades of experience in his field, he is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology, & hospice and palliative medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
An expert in his field, Dr. Judson has contributed to various committees relating to the topics of cancer, transfusion and ethics, and has served on many tumor boards. Professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Throughout his fruitful career, Dr. Judson has received the Caring Physician Award from People Living Through Cancer, State of New Mexico. He was also the recipient of two Meritorious Service Medals.
On a more personal note, he is married. He and his wife, Carol, have four children.
