Get to know Dr. Travis Kimathi, Dentist for children, adolescents and patients at First Care Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Kimathi treats the littlest of patients. He is a pediatric dentist practicing at First Care Pediatric Dentistry, based in Woodstock, GA. Dr. Kimathi’s extensive training began with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE. He went on to earn his DDS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, as well. The College of Dentistry is known for its extraordinary education, scientific discovery and clinical care — resulting in improved oral health for people of all ages. Additionally, he received his Pediatric Specialty training from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in Chicago, IL. First Care Pediatric Dentistry proudly serves the dental needs of infants, children and teens in Atlanta’s suburbs and all of Northern Georgia. The practice was the first of its kind in in Woodstock, GA. They provide dentistry for children for the Cherokee, Cobb, Fulton, Pickens, Bartow, Forsyth, Gordon and Dawson counties. First Care Pediatric Dentistry provides the highest quality care in a fun, child-friendly setting. Their goal is to have children think of the dentist as a best buddy. Recipient of the University of Nebraska Medical Center Foundation Scholarship for Academic Excellence, Dr. Kimanthi is also a professional member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the National Dental Association. Dr. K, as he is known to his many young patients, is married and has two sons. He enjoys working with children, traveling, watching sports, working out, and spending time with family and friends. Pediatric dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood.
