Get to know Facial Plastic Surgeon and Otolaryngologist Dr. Aaron L. Shapiro, who serves patients throughout the State of Pennsylvania.

One of the most highly regarded facial plastic surgeons and otolaryngologists in Pennsylvania, Dr. Shapiro works with patients at his private practice – Shapiro Facial Plastic Surgery and ENT – with offices in Philadelphia and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

In addition, he can be found on staff at Center for SmartLipo & Plastic Surgery in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Their team of highly trained and experienced physicians and staff are dedicated to the individual needs and goals of each patient through compassionate, consultative care.

Performing facelifts, neck lifts, and facial surgery to address cosmetic and medical disorders of the lip, chin, eyelid, brow, ear, jowl, neck and nose, Dr. Shapiro also pioneered the minimally invasive Mini Lift procedure and trains plastic surgeons in the technique nationwide.

As a board-certified otolaryngologist, he provides medical and surgical care for patients suffering from complications, diseases, and disorders of the ears, nose and throat, as well as the related structures of the head and neck. He treats various disorders concerning upper airway breathing, balance and hearing among other functions.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Shapiro attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and served as a surgical intern at The Graduate Hospital. He then completed a residency in otolaryngology at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Following residency, he was chosen as one of only forty physicians to complete a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under the direction of Dr. Regan Thomas at the Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Inc., which was established in 1986 to improve the quality of medical and surgical treatment available to the public by examining for professional expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

To boot, he is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.

Teaching students, Dr. Shapiro has served on the teaching faculty of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he has been involved in the training of residents and medical students since 1993. He has lectured and published on many aspects of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
