  • What happens if stitches aren't removed?

Some stitches are intentionally not removed because they are designed to dissolve over time. Other stitches that do not dissolve must be removed. When this type is not removed in a timely fashion, the skin will begin to grow over the suture material, which then becomes embedded, creating a potential nidus for infection. READ MORE

  • Is getting a cyst removed painful?

Your surgeon should use plenty of local anesthetic (numbing medicine). You should only feel a small pin prick sensation when the needle is inserted. If the anesthetic is buffered with bicarb it doesn't even burn when injected. Some surgeons offer something for relaxation or to minimize anxiety prior to the procedure. READ MORE

  • Should I do something with my neck cyst?

Yes. Most neck cysts are benign but the best way to be sure of the cause of the cyst is to have it removed and sent to the lab for the pathologist to evaluate it. READ MORE

  • Will my facial surgery scars always remain?

Sadly, yes. Any time the skin is cut whether by accident or intention there will be a scar and yes the scar is permanent. Scars can be minimized. If thick or raised the scar may benefit from a scar revision. Microneedling can also improve the appearance of a scar. Consult with a reliable cosmetic surgeon to learn more about your options. • Does eyelid surgery leave scars?

All surgery leaves scars. When done well the scars should be minimal and hidden in the skin fold. READ MORE

  • What can I do with my arm lipoma?

Lipomas tend to grow larger over time so, yes, you should probably consider having it removed. READ MORE

  • How long does it take to recover from a neck cyst surgery?

The most common type of cyst on the neck is a sebaceous cyst. This type of cyst is limited to the skin and the soft tissue immediately underlying the skin. It will take about a week for the skin to heal but since the muscles are not involved, it should not be terribly painful. READ MORE

  • Is there a safe cosmetic surgery to thin out my hips?
