Beginning his career in medicine out of a passion for helping others, Dr. Grodzicki is an established psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. In practice since 1992, he sees patients at his private practice – Jaime Grodzicki, MD, PC – in New York, New York.
With health as his number one priority, Dr. Grodzicki brings a comprehensive approach to mental health care to find comfortable and effective treatment for each patient. Combining the use of psychopharmacology and psycho-dynamic psychotherapy, his extensive experience has helped people suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and addiction problems.
Certified to treat with Suboxone and Vivitrol, he is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). His approach is influenced by humanistic, existential, and mindfulness-based psychotherapies.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Grodzicki graduated with his medical degree from the University of the Republic, Faculty of Medicine in Uruguay in 1984. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in child and adolescent psychiatry at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
In addition to being a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, he is board-certified in adult psychiatry & child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
