Specializing in primary care, Dr. Lanman is the Director of Geriatric Medicine at HealthBridge – Platinum Concierge Medicine in Great Neck, New York. 

Her areas of expertise include concierge medicine, preventive medicine, wellness care, geriatric medicine, frail elderly, weight management, travel medicine, and telemedicine. 

Back in 1980, Dr. Lanman graduated with her medical degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine in Canada. She then went on to perform her residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and her fellowship at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in both internal medicine and geriatric medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Lanman started her medical career as a full time faculty physician at Long Island Jewish’s Parker Institute. There, she established the Division of Geriatric Medicine which she directed for 6 years. She also served as Medical Director of the LIJ Home Care program, as well as ran a Day Program for the Frail Elderly at the Samuel Field Y.  Subsequently, she was appointed Medical Director of the Home Hospice Program, where she made frequent house calls to patients approaching the end of life.

An active member of the teaching faculty of North Shore LIJ Medical Center, Dr. Lanman teaches medical residents in the ambulatory clinic, as well as trains fellows in geriatric medicine.  She was also responsible for establishing and running the first Geriatric Assessment team in the hospital system, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
