Stan D. Arkow, MD, is a leading psychiatrist currently serving patients as Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Arkow also maintains two private practice locations, one on the Upper West Side of Manhattan at 96th Street and West End Avenue and the other on Knollwood Road in White Plains, Westchester County. Dr. Arkow teaches attendings, residents, and medical students at Columbia, is Secretary-Treasurer of New York Psychiatric Society and serves as a mentor in the Career Development Leadership Program of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America(ADAA). After earning his medical degree in 1977 at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Arkow completed his residency at the same educational venue. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
