Get to know Dr. Russ T. Shimizu, who serves patients in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Shimizu is a neurologist serving Los Angeles and the surrounding communities. He is associated with Neurological Associates of West Los Angeles – a practice offering state-of-the-art comprehensive treatment of acute and chronic pain, memory loss, TOS, headaches, facial pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and depression.

Dr. Shimizu received his Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1967. He went on to complete a residency at in neurology at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Shimizu became Chief Resident at UCLA School of Medicine in 1974. Dr. Shimizu has been Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at UCLA School of Medicine since 1975 and a Clinical professor at USC since 2000.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. As a neurologist, Dr.Shimizu is a trained provider of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy and treats patients with depression using NeuroStar TMS Therapy. NeuroStar TMS Therapy is an FDA-cleared safe and effective non-drug depression treatment for patients who are not satisfied with the results of standard drug therapy
