  • Can speech delay be fixed?

Yes, a speech delay can be remedied. The first step is to determine why your daughter is not speaking. There are many different reasons why a childs speech is delayed; some are structural, such as a tongue-tie. Some are auditory-based, such as hearing loss or not able to perceive discreet speech sounds. Some are language-based, some are attention-based. When you know why the child is struggling, you can devise targeted speech therapy. All of this is explained in detail in my book Speak to Me; 10 Reasons Why your Child is Not Speaking as Expected, available on Amazon. Carol Krakower READ MORE
