Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Tanna Lenae Feldman, who serves patients in Springfield, Missouri.

Dr. Feldman is a trusted psychiatrist specializing in the care of mental health patients. She may treat patients through a variety of methods, including medications, psychotherapy or talk therapy, psychosocial interventions and more, depending on each individual case.

At present, she can be found on staff at Cox North Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. It is a part of the Cox Health network, which can trace its roots to its Jefferson Avenue address, and the frame house that stood there in 1906, originally Burge Hospital. 

Today, Cox North is a thriving hospital with a new technology, a growing medical staff, a 24/7 Emergency Department, occupational therapy, a full-service occupational medicine clinic, and much more. Its mission is to improve the health of the communities it serves through quality health care, education, and research.

While in medical school, Dr. Feldman obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. Five years later, in 2019, she completed her residency in psychiatry at the Ozark Center.

With experience in assessing mental and physical symptoms, she is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Osteopathic Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (AOBNP). The AOBNP is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in disorders of the nervous system (neurologists) and to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders (psychiatrists).

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.
