Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Sawhney earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, Faculty of Medicine in Mexico in 1981. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, followed by an internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California.
