Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Erik V. Berg, who serves patients in Massachusetts.

As a board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Berg has a special interest in otology, head and neck cancer, allergy/sinus, airway/voice disorders, and thyroid/parathyroid issues. He is affiliated with CHA Everett Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, both of which are located in the state of Massachusetts.

CHA Everett Hospital is a 162-bed medical/surgical and psychiatric hospital. It is one of three hospitals in Cambridge Health Alliance and a teaching site for Harvard Medical School and the Tufts University School of Medicine. 

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a world-class teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School located in the heart of Boston. It is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a new health care system that brings together academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, community and specialty hospitals, as well as more than 4,000 physicians and 35,000 employees in a shared mission to expand access to great care and advance the science and practice of medicine through groundbreaking research and education.

After earning his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Berg went o to complete his internship at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center. This was followed by a residency in otolaryngology at Tufts Medical Center.

Recognized as an expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer.
