Services cover a range of standard procedures or dental issues such as cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration. He provides BOTOX® and Invisalign®, family dentistry, preventative care, restorative dentistry, and sleep-disordered breathing, among others. Dr. Portale provides IV Sedation for the fearful/anxious patient.

Academically, Dr. Portale graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1972. He has since become a Fellow and Master of the American Academy of General Dentistry, an award given to less than 1% of dentists across the world. He has also been on the medical teaching staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for around seven years.

Among his professional dental affiliations, he is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Bergen County Dental Society, and the New Jersey Dental Association.

A proponent of continuous education on any and all changes in the industry, Dr. Portale believes that staying educated helps his team provide first-rate services, whether in general and family dentistry, restorative dentistry, or sleep-disordered breathing.

He continues to educate himself in a variety of dental areas such as periodontal and endodontic dentistry, cosmetic practices, oral surgery, and restoration. His oral surgery focuses include extractions, impacted teeth, implant placement, and grafting.
