Get to know Family Physician Dr. Linda I. Esquivel, who serves patients in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Esquivel is a board-certified family physician, seeing patients at Family Health of South Texas in Westover Hills.

Professional and compassionate, the Family Health of South Texas team specializes in both pediatric and adult patients within the San Antonio community. In addition to their primary care services such as vaccinations, health screenings and wellness check-ups, they offer doctor-performed aesthetic treatments, including laser hair removal, facial fillers, and Botox. 

Born in Laredo, Texas, Dr. Esquivel attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio and then went on to complete her residency in family medicine at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa, where she graduated with honors.

Following her training, she attained board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Currently, Dr. Esquivel is the Secretary of the Mexican American Hispanic Physicians Association, a charitable organization that assists disadvantaged students to take up careers in the medical professions.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
