Dr. Thomas is a board-certified periodontist who specializes in dental implant surgery (including non-metallic options i.e. ceramic implants) as well as advanced implant procedures & a wide range of periodontal services, including laser-assisted periodontal therapy. She sees patients at Anderegg & Thomas in Bellevue, Washington.
She believes in holistic and compassionate patient care and is committed to the long-term well-being of her patients. Apart from providing comprehensive and skilled periodontal services, she also takes the time and effort to educate her patients on their individual conditions, treatment options, as well as the long-term care and maintenance of teeth and gums.
Apart from her clinical practice, she has previously served as an Assistant Professor at two different dental schools. She has research experience and an academic bent of mind.
Periodontics has been a passion for Dr. Thomas from early on in her career. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2010 and graduated with honors. Soon after, she was selected for the prestigious periodontal residency program at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Periodontics and a certificate in Periodontics in 2013.
With extensive experience in all aspects of periodontology, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, an organization which serves the public and the dental profession by administering the board certification process for experts in the dental specialty of periodontics.
In order to stay up to date in her field, Dr. Thomas remains a member of the Washington State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Periodontics is the dental specialty focusing exclusively on the inflammatory disease that destroys the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth. A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal, or disease, and in the placement of dental implants.
Attributing her success to her resistance and hard work, Dr. Thomas is very dedicated to patient care. She is the recipient of various honors including the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation Scholarship in 2015, and the Caffesse Scholarship at the University of Texas in 2011 and 2012.
Coming from a family of dentists, she has two younger sisters who are also dentists. She is also a mother to two wonderful children.
