Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Maguina graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has published dozens of scientific articles and book chapters, and is a member of the editorial board and reviewer of plastic surgery publications.
Having given over 100 lectures on plastic surgery both nationally and internationally, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
