Originally from Egypt, Dr. Ghaleb earned his medical degree from the Mansoura University Faculty of Medicine. After relocating to the United States, he completed a residency in anesthesiology at the John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County ( where he was elected as a chief resident ) , followed by a fellowship in pain management at the Mayo clinic, Rochester, MN.
Dr Ghaleb was recruited to start the pain management program at UAMS, In which he was the director of pain management for more than 10 years, he have more than 30 publications in the field of pain medicine in Peer reviewed journals.
As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in both pain management and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of OR anesthesiology and interventional/medical pain management.
Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Ghaleb is an active member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Society of Anesthesiology, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Back Society, the Arkansas Society of Anesthesiology, the Arkansas Pain Club Society for Clinical and Translational Science, and the UAMS Academics Senate.
As for his academic title, he serves as a Clinical Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
