She served her two-year internship at McMaster University (1989-1991) and conducted her dermatology residency at The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (1991-1994). She further received board certification in dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology and remains at the forefront of her challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, the Seattle Dermatological Society, and the Washington State Dermatology Association.
