Dr. Muhammad Shahid, an interventional cardiologist at Atlantic Cardiology in New Jersey, dedicates himself to providing personalized, evidence-based care to patients in Monmouth and Ocean counties. With a commitment to tailoring treatment plans for each individual, he ensures optimal care for all those under his supervision.

His academic journey began at Rutgers University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. His exceptional dedication to scientific research earned him the prestigious Henry Rutgers Scholar designation during his undergraduate years. Subsequently, he pursued his medical degree at Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and received a full-tuition merit scholarship.

Following medical school, Dr. Shahid completed his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then pursued fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease at RWJ and Interventional Cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center, further honing his expertise in the field.

Board-certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular ultrasound, and internal medicine, his research focuses on areas such as premature coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, and percutaneous management of valvular heart disease. His contributions to the field include publications in esteemed scientific journals and presentations of original research at national conferences.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Shahid cherishes spending quality time with his family, exploring local culinary delights, and indulging his passion for cars.
