Recognized as a caring and compassionate dentist, Dr. Wightman works with patients alongside her husband, Dr. Mark Wightman, at Wightman Family Dental in Chalmette, Louisiana. She loves meeting new patients and helping them achieve the smile of their dreams. She keeps up to date with the best and latest dental technology and procedures to help patients experience the most comfortable pain free dentistry available today.

Born and raised in New Orleans, she attended Mount Carmel Academy. She went on to complete her undergraduate education at Louisiana State University (LSU), earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Like her husband Mark, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry, which is where they met.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Wightman likes to spend time with her husband and her four beautiful children.
