A skilled dermatologist, Dr. Benedetto is the Assistant Medical Director of Dermatologic SurgiCenter and its two accredited Ambulatory Surgical Centers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Established in 1978, Dermatologic SurgiCenter serves patients from throughout the Philadelphia area, including Drexel Hill, Cherry Hill, and Bryn Mawr. People trust their care because they go the extra mile to give patients the results they want. Their goal is to provide every patient with personalized care. The center offers the latest and most effective treatments that medical technology has to offer.

A native of Italy, Dr. Benedetto earned his medical degree from the Gabriele d’Annunzio University Faculty of Medicine. Upon graduating, he relocated to the United States and completed his internship and dual residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. In 1990, he completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the Dermatologic SurgiCenter under the guidance of his brother, Dr. Anthony Benedetto.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), he is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Medical Association, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology, the Philadelphia Dermatological Society, and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. He has also served on the Board of Advisors for the Philadelphia School Boys Rowing Club.

In his professional experience, he serves as an Attending Staff Dermatologist at Mercy Fitzgerald Medical Center and Crozer-Keystone Health System – DCMH Division. He is also a volunteer faculty at the Crozer-Keystone Family Practice Residency Program where he has been acknowledged as a recipient of the “Outstanding Teaching Attending Award of the Year”, and is frequently recognized for volunteer staffing of skin cancer screenings in the area.
