Born and raised in Chicago, her studies began at Whitney Young High School and continued at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Thereafter, she went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011.

Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. When she is not focused on changing the world one tooth at a time, Dr. Ochoa enjoys spending time with her husband, eating at new restaurants, traveling to new places, working out, and living a healthy lifestyle.
