Completing her undergraduate education at the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur, Nepal, Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree from the Manipal University Medical College in Mangalore, India. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in anatomic & clinical pathology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and her fellowship in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at Indiana University.
With an unwavering commitment to her specialty, the doctor is board-certified in anatomic & clinical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and liver pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.
Teaching students, Dr. Sharma serves as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
