Dr. Huffman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the spine.  He is singularly focused on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders in the neck, mid and lower back. What’s more, he is a recognized leader in minimally invasive micro-decompression, advanced minimally invasive spinal fusion, and fusion alternatives, including disc replacement and dynamic stabilization.

He founded The Huffman Clinic at Napa Valley Orthopaedics, a clinic specializing in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of adult spinal disorders with a focus on minimally invasive spine surgery. Located in Napa, California, The Huffman Clinic is devoted to bringing the latest techniques and advancements to patients suffering from neck and back pain. In 1999, Dr. Huffman earned his medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then went on to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery at LAC+USC Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in spine surgery at the Los Angeles Spine Institute. Thereafter, he became board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons. 

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the California Orthopaedic Association.

Orthopaedic surgery or orthopaedics is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
