Dr. El-Khashab is a podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon who joined the team of professionals at The Foot Wellness Center in Cypress, Texas in 2017. The Center provides treatment for many conditions of the foot and ankle, including bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, toenail problems, diabetic foot care, fractures and sprains of the foot and ankle, and wound care, among others. Keeping patients’ active, pain-free, and on their feet, that is the #1 priority of The Foot Wellness Center.
The doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, which exists to protect the health and welfare of the public through an ongoing process of evaluation and certification of the competence of podiatrists in the specialty of podiatric orthopedics and primary podiatric medicine by offering podiatric physicians a comprehensive board qualification and certification process. He is also an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, as well as an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
In the early days of his academic career, Dr. El-Khashab completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine/Rosalind Franklin School of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to New York City, he completed an intensive three-year medical and reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency program at Interfaith Medical Center. There, he earned the honor of becoming Chief Resident before furthering his training with a one-year fellowship.
After several years of private practice and teaching at various New York hospitals, Dr. El-Khashab decided to head back to Texas with his family. He has been a welcome asset ever since.
Podiatry or podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity.
