Get to know Surgeon Dr. Brian P. Lipton, who serves the population of Arizona. Brian P. Lipton, MD, PhD, FACS, is a Surgeon with Arizona Preferred Surgeons. Dr. Brian P. Lipton is a highly respected and experienced surgeon, having been in practice for several years. His career in medicine began when he graduated with his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University. After medical school, Dr. Lipton completed his internship and residency through the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency. Dr. Lipton is certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has dedicated his life to delivering compassionate care. In addition, he is a member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Physiological Society, American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Phoenix Surgical Society. He is determined to enhance his patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. With a passion for his work, Dr. Lipton is noted for his expertise in general surgery, minimally invasive surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, breast surgery, endocrine surgery, upper intestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy. General surgeons not only perform surgeries for a wide range of common ailments, but are also responsible for patient care before, during, and after surgery. General surgeons are trained to operate on the Alimentary Tract (esophagus and related organs), Abdomen and its Contents, Breast, Skin and Soft Tissue, and the Endocrine System. In addition, general surgeons are expected to have knowledge and experience in Surgical Critical Care, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma.
