Get to know Physiatrist Dr. Neil R. Soni, who serves patients in Tustin, California.

A top professional in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Soni sees patients at Kessler Family Medicine in Tustin, California and Coast Pulmonary & Internal Medicine Associates in Fountain Valley.

Keeping patients healthy in Southern California for over 20 years, Kessler Family Medicine provide the best in physical therapy, chiropractic treatments, and sports rehabilitation and are dedicated to the recovery from chronic and acute ailments of all types and the prevention of new ones in the future. Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Soni earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis in Neurobiology, from University of California, Berkeley. He graduated with his medical degree from Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, and completed his internship at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. He then went on to complete his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and his fellowship in pain medicine at the same educational venue.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation and pain medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) as well as the National Board of Physician and Surgeons (NBPS). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R).

On a professional level, he is an active member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the International Spine Intervention Society.

Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.

When not working or treating patients, Dr. Soni enjoys weight training, yoga, hiking, basketball, golf, and salsa dancing. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
