Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Shingo M. Yano, who serves patients throughout the State of Illinois.

Dr. Yano is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pain management specialist with Modern Pain Consultants, seeing patients at their offices in Hinsdale, Morris, Silver Cross, and Ottawa, Illinois. He is prepared to offer the widest range of treatment modalities to treat painful conditions including the full scope of interventional pain procedures, medications, and works closely with a network of capable health care providers/specialists.

Although he is more than proficient in delivering conventional pain treatments, he does have a keen interest in arming himself with cutting-edge regenerative medicine therapies. He wished to join Modern Pain Consultants as he regarded the practice to be professional, possessing robust relationships with esteemed medical practices in the area, and supportive of his desire to deliver expert pain care.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Yano attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate studies in economic theory, and attained his medical degree from Rush Medical College. He completed his internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Washington University in St. Louis-Barnes Jewish Hospital. His medical education culminated with a fellowship in pain medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.

Recognized as a Fellow of the Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), the doctor is board-certified in pain management and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

To boot, he has attained certification from the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
