Throughout his academic career, Dr. Yano attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate studies in economic theory, and attained his medical degree from Rush Medical College. He completed his internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Washington University in St. Louis-Barnes Jewish Hospital. His medical education culminated with a fellowship in pain medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.

Recognized as a Fellow of the Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), the doctor is board-certified in pain management and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care.
