Academically, Dr. Kuperstock earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Boston University/Boston Medical Center, one of New England’s busiest facial plastic and reconstructive surgery hospitals. 

He completed his advanced training in a certified American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship under world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, and he is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. 

Due to his extensive training during both residency and fellowship, Dr. Kuperstock is one of the most experienced surgeons in Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) and Vocal Feminization Surgery. 

Prior to his move to Virginia, he was appointed as a clinical instructor at Boston University School of Medicine. 

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer.
