A Maryland native, Dr. McCollum earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington D.C. in 1988. He then served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corp in Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait during the first Gulf War, and Aberdeen Proving Ground. He left the army with the rank of Major and went into private practice in 1994. He has advanced training in many fields of dentistry, including esthetic dentistry and Invisalign.
