Dr. H. Douglas Woodford practice focuses on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for men and women and breast cancer prevention and treatment with testosterone therapy. Dr Woodford became aware of medical literature showing that testosterone therapy can be safely used in women who had previously been treated for breast cancer. After breast cancer treatment many women suffer significant hormone deficiency symptoms but estrogen therapy is contraindicated. Dr Woodford, along with a group on oncology partners, are currently conducting an IRB approved clinical study "Adjunct Testosterone Implant Therapy in Breast Cancer Patients" examining how testosterone pellet therapy may safely improve quality of life for breast cancer survivors.

Having earned his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 1981, Dr. Woodford went on to complete his internship and residency at the said establishment. He was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology until he retired from OB/GYN in 2021.
Focusing his interests on bio-identical hormone therapy and nutrition, Dr. Woodford transitioned from OB/GYN practice to establish Full Life Wellness Center in Florence, Alabama in 2012, specializing in pellet hormone therapy and integrative approaches to health and wellness. In 2022, expanding his reach to Nashville, Tennessee, he introduced pellet hormone therapy for women, further solidifying Full Life Wellness Center’s reputation as a pioneer in holistic wellness solutions.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), Dr. Woodford is a distinguished member of the Alabama Medical Society and the Lauderdale County Medical Society.
In a groundbreaking move, he initiated a clinical trial in collaboration with oncology partners to explore the safe use of testosterone pellet therapy in breast cancer survivors experiencing hormone deficiency symptoms post-treatment.
