Following her training, she attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, the largest organ of the body; a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.
In honor of her 30+ year clinical expertise, Dr. Long has been the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions, including Patients’ Choice Award (2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), and Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2020).
