Get to know Family Physician Dr. Guy A. Francis, who serves patients in Maplewood, New Jersey.

Described as a thorough family physician with a good bedside manner, Dr. Francis sees patients at his private practice in Maplewood, New Jersey. He provides complete medical care to families and individuals of all ages.

Licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey, he is affiliated with Hoboken University Medical Center & Overlook Medical Center.

Graduating in the class of 1992 at Rutgers University, Dr. Francis went on to earn his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 1996. Furthering his education, he performed his residency in family medicine at St. Mary’s General Hospital in 2000.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
