Providing the highest quality comprehensive dental care in an ethical and conservative fashion is his number one priority. He also works closely with a team of well-qualified specialists in providing multidisciplinary dental care.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Young earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. In 1988, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry with Honors.

Making smile dreams into realities, he is also a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, an Accredited Member of the American Society of Dental Aesthetics, an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute, a Lifetime Quality Member of the Crown Council, a Preferred Provider for Invisalign, and a Lifetime Member of the United States Dental Institute (certified in orthodontics since 2002).
Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Young received the designation of MAGD, a “Master” from the Academy of General Dentistry. Less than 2% of dentists in American have this degree. The “Mastership” level requires a dentist to complete the “Fellowship” level and attend a total of 1100 hours of continue education with 400 hours being hands-on workshop in 16 different dental disciplines. In fact, Dr. Young has attended over 4000 hours of advanced dental continued education since 1988 and continues to attend over 100 hours a year, 4x the requirement by California.
Recognized by his peers as a leader and an example to other dentists in the importance of continued learning for optimal patient care, he feels that continual learning is vitally important in keeping pace with the latest dental developments. In addition to continuing his education, he produces case studies in order to develop insight into both dental conditions and treatments.
Educating others is also one of Dr. Young’s passions. Since 1998, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Division of General Dentistry at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where he lectures on esthetics dentistry and practice management.
Active both locally and globally in his profession, Dr. Young has been in many countries on humanitarian missions, including China, Malaysia, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Kenya. These trips only confirm his passion for giving back. Annually, he also inspires and leads his office to reach out the underprivileged in Indio Coachella Valley, California with CARE.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
On a more personal note, Dr. Young speaks English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
