Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Juan A. Mujica, who serves patients in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Mujica is a reputable dermatologist at Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center in Stockbridge, Georgia. 

Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center is a full service medical and cosmetic dermatology practice located at Eagles Landing Parkway in Henry County. Specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of all medical dermatologic (skin, hair, and nail) conditions, the office accepts patients of every age. Cosmetic services such as Botox, laser hair removal, and Restylane are also offered for patients seeking medical enhancement. 

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Mujica graduated with his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico in 1956. He then went on to attend medical school at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine from 1961-1965 after four years of active duty service. Furthering his training, he performed his residency in dermatology at University of Puerto Rico in 1971.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, he is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

Helping patients achieve healthier skin, Dr. Mujica is affiliated with Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, the largest organ of the body; a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.
