Dr. Holm, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist treating a wide range of pediatric issues. He provides high-quality care to children of all ages at Newport Children’s Medical Group in California.
Serving the practice locations in Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and Laguna Beach, the doctor has a specialty in treating children, from infants to adolescents, with diabetes, pediatric obesity, or with early and delayed growth and puberty disorders. He also treats thyroid, adrenal, and metabolic disorders, as well as hormonal imbalances and polycystic ovary (PCOS) in female patients.
His journey into medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He then finished his residency at Los Angeles County (LAC) + University of Southern California Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in endocrinology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Thereafter, he served on the faculty at the University of Southern California.
Bringing over three decades of experience in outpatient and inpatient pediatrics and endocrinology, Dr. Holm is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Pediatric endocrinology is a medical subspecialty dealing with disorders of the endocrine glands, such as variations of physical growth and sexual development in childhood, diabetes, and many more. Pediatric endocrinologists, depending upon the age range of the patients they treat, care for patients from infancy to late adolescence and young adulthood. They treat type 1 and type 2 diabetes, growth disorders, pubertal abnormalities, obesity, differences of sex development, bone and mineral disturbances, hypoglycemia, and other disorders relating to the adrenal, parathyroid, thyroid, and pituitary glands.
