There are several reasons why a knee may “buckle”. It requires a careful review of past history, including previous injury, activity and surgery, meticulous physical examination and imaging. Do you need to have corrective surgery for scoliosis?
Thanks for your question. It really depends upon symptoms, severity of the curve, etiology of the curve, patient’s age and other prognostic factors for scoliosis. In the absence of significant pain or limitation, adults with moderate scoliosis of lumbar or even thiraco-lumbar region even up io 15-20 degrees so not need surgery.
