How long after a root canal should you get a permanent filling?
In general, as soon as possible. Try not to wait more than 6 weeks. The temporary filling material is porous and bacteria can infiltrate it possibly causing a recurrent infection. What does enamel erosion look like?
There are chemical and physical erosion. Both result in loss of enamel and exposed dentin. The dentin is darker, yellow and/or brown. Erosion often can cause craters on the top or sides of teeth. READ MORE

Composite veneers are made up of a softer and more porous material compared to porcelain. Composite is prone to staining and tends to dull over time.
