I was run over in Ohio by a drunk driver in 2005. It shattered everything from my hip to my ankle on my left side. I also had several broken ribs and 3 ruptured disks in my neck. I spent 6 months in a coma and had 14 surgeries to put me back together over the next 2 years. I still have no feeling from the knee down as a result of torn sciatic nerves. Due to the severity of my injuries I have to be very careful where I walk as well as how I live my life in general. I moved to Amarillo (my wife is from here) and had to find new doctors locally. I was refereed to Dr. Taylor by my local Orthopedic doctor. I was told by several Doctors that the only way to solve my neck pain issues I would require surgery. Having been through more surgeries in 2 years than most people go through in a life time I was looking to avoid another one. Dr. Taylor suggested a different route consisting of injections directly into the damaged neck area, steroid pack treatment, exercise & pain medication as needed. This is an ongoing process due to the extent of the damage to my body but it also allows me to live a normal life with minimum pain. I can now ride my motorcycle, work in the yard and enjoy life with my family. I would recommend Dr. Taylor to anybody that has pain issues. He gave me back something I though I had lost forever... A normal life. Thank you Dr. Taylor and all of your staff. Matthew Farris
