He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1980.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
